• Cordova Rebellion
• The Council House Fight,
• The Santa Fe Expedition.

Students will fill in the template that they can get from the teacher. The will give the date of the event, give a description of the event, draw a picture representing the event.

The students will also describe what happened between the first and second event and what may have caused the second event to happen.  

The students will write a summative response of how these events were effected by public debt as well as the role of racial and ethnic groups.

Sam Houston, Mirabeau Lamar, and  Anson Jones

Include:

• The name of the President.
• When did he serve and for how long?
• What problems did he face in Office?
• What did he accomplish in office?
• Was he a good Leader? Why?

Example:

Sam Houston

• He was made the first president of the Republic of Texas in 1836 and was re-elected in 1841. Served 5 years.

Though he faced many challenges during his administration Houston was a very good leader. Houston set the tone for the Republic of Texas.
